What barriers keep you from experiencing bliss? Are you holding on to sadness, disappointment, or hopelessness rather than focusing on an outlook of bliss? Do you feel like no matter what you do all roads lead to melancholy? Many of us can think of a long and distinguished list of barriers to our bliss.
Personal Fulfillment
Do you feel accepted by others? Are those in your life supportive? Do you have a strong inner circle of friends? When life has you down, do those you thought would have your back come through? Do you have an authentic sense of belonging?
We only live once, but once is enough if we do it right. Live your life with class, dignity, and style so that an exclamation, rather than a question mark signifies it!~ Gary Ryan Blair
Life is a song - sing it. Life is a game - play it. Life is a challenge - meet it. Life is a dream - realize it. Life is a sacrifice - offer it. Life is love - enjoy it.~Sai Baba
Are you doing what you always dreamed of doing? Are you living a blissful life at home and work? Do you feel like you are living each day to the fullest? How would you spend each day or the last week of your life if you knew it was your last?
Easter Sunday reminds me of forgiveness, second chances, sacrifice, hope, new beginnings and possibilities. Let’s think about it, the story of Jesus’ last week on earth as a human being was riveting. His life and the life of others who crossed his path were filled with wondrous acts, profound prayer, realized prophecies, rich conversation, mesmeric moments and game-changing events for all of mankind. He knew his life would end at week’s end, even so, He did not waste any time. He marched towards living a meaningful, passionate and impactful life.
Nothing is more important than reconnecting with your bliss. Nothing is as rich. Nothing is more real.~Deepak Chopra
Do you want bliss? Do you ever feel outside yourself? Are there times when you feel life is larger than you? When was the last time you felt more beautiful and more powerful than ever?
Because my business life is so busy, my home is really my sanctuary. That is where I reflect and spend quality time… ~Rachel Roy
Essence of Home
Is your life hectic? Are you constantly moving at Mach 2? Do you have a special place where you can breathe a sigh of relief and throttle back? Do you have a place you can call your personal sanctuary?
"Humble abode," in essence, means a home marked by meekness in the air. Your home should be your creation—a true expression and extension of you. Life can be hectic and the daily grind can take its toll. Often times you may feel out of sorts and out of balance. But when you arrive home, you should feel comfortable, at ease and in harmony with your surroundings. Being in your home should make you feel good.
Nothing is more important than reconnecting with your bliss. Nothing is as rich. Nothing is more real. ~Deepak Chopra
What is Emotional Intelligence (EQ)?
How well do you observe your own feelings and emotions as well as those of others around you? Can you separate those feelings and emotions and use what you know to boost your way of being, thinking and doing? Are your feelings and emotions awaking or subduing your bliss?
If you answered “so-so”, many of us struggle with monitoring our feelings and emotions and those of others. But, I bet you know someone that is attentive and an active listener. Someone, who can in the midst of a life-storm stay calm, composed, emotionally-steady and make good decisions. My lovely Grandmother was that way. She was very self-aware and aware of the feelings and emotions of others. No matter what the situation she stayed positive, trusted her instincts and did not get stressed or angry. Doing this well is the art of Emotional Intelligence, also affectionately known as “EQ”. It is your ability to be self-aware, manage your feelings and emotions and those of others and use it to better inform your way of being, thinking and doing.
Life is a pilgrimage. The wise man does not rest by the roadside inns. He marches direct to the illimitable domain of eternal bliss, his ultimate destination.~ Swami Sivananda
Think About a Time You Experienced Bliss
Think about a time when you felt a heightened emotional state of joy, fulfillment and happiness. Now, reflect on it and describe it aloud. Just imagine living each day in such an amazing state. There is no textbook answer for creating bliss. Our lived experiences are different. Therefore, each of us has to discover it for ourselves.
Personal fulfillment is profound and persistent satisfaction with yourself and your situation. It is feeling exceedingly pleased about your desires and needs being realized. I get it! Fulfillment sounds like a super idea. For some of you, it may seem unimaginable. The challenge for many of us is: understanding it, finding it, and moving boldly on the path towards it.
