Schizophrenia and Finding Answers to Obsessive Questions

November 20, 2012 Dan Hoeweler

To people with Schizophrenia, the world is an enigma that needs to be solved. We are always asking questions. "What", "how" and "why" are the words that permeate in the back of our minds. Though everyone asks themselves questions, the questions and answers are usually based upon rationality and reason. For people with Schizophrenia, information becomes scrambled and the answers to such questions become what our subconscious desires us to believe.

Questions Lead to Delusions and Voices

The questions that we ask ourselves are often about the storyline that we have created within our minds. Why is he looking at me? How is he following me? Where are they hiding? These are the questions that burn us. Once these questions and answers infest the mind, our reasoning becomes parasitic and wrecks havoc upon the rest of our lives. Eventually our senses and beliefs become so infected that we find ourselves lost, neither here nor there, in a world of delusions and voices.

When we find ourselves in such a state of mind, how then are we to find our way back? Though the exact answer may differ for everyone, I have personally not found a way out without the use of science and medication. For some unknown reason, it tends to unscramble the information leading to better judgement and reason. I have never “thought my way” out of a psychotic episode once it takes hold. I would love to claim such super powers, but I cannot.

When your mind begins to take flight, and unanswerable questions flourish around you, it could be a symptom of your illness. These ideas can become contagious to the mind and you may find yourself obsessed with them. Eventually your life could become an entire series of strange answers to even stranger questions.

He dies not believe he's sick n refuses to see Dr. I used to be parltient but I find my self almost feeling harassed daily because if the never ending circle of questions. I'm sending this article to him hoping he will begin to see it's not me, it's him.
