The Importance of Insincerity

September 5, 2011 Alistair McHarg

There are times when letting others know how you really feel is inappropriate, even self-defeating. For this reason, it is important to realize when one is inadvertently revealing too much about one's inner life.

This brief video blog provides a useful tutorial in the fine art of not being yourself, convincingly.

Great video! I will never be able to answer that question without laughing...! I heard once that people really don't want to know, anyway... By the time they have reached the "are you feeling?" part of the sentence they are 10 steps behind you in the hall... ah, "sigh" maybe it's me... ; ) E, love the terrified camera action!

Very entertaining, James Dean eat your heart out! Luckily I get to pick which one of me I want to be most days, makes life much easier when asked that telling question ;)

Wow! Really enjoyed your expressive acting and Ellin's creative camera work! The video had a little of everything in it, ie paranoia, mania, etc. Mostly? it was hysterically funny. Kudos, from a member of "the fringe".
