Benefits of Loving Someone with Bipolar Disorder
As a person with bipolar 2 disorder, I'm constantly bombarded with messages about how difficult it is to love someone with bipolar disorder. In fact, it can get so bad at times, I begin to question whether I'm even lovable. With Valentine's Day coming up, I thought this was a good time to talk about the benefits of loving someone with bipolar disorder.
Sure loving someone with bipolar disorder is a challenge, but we forget to talk about the gifts we can give to our romantic partner. It is essential that we remind ourselves on a daily basis how we benefit other people's lives, specifically our romantic partners. I want those of you watching to write a Valentine’s Day card to yourself revealing the benefits of loving you, and the way you can contribute to another person's life.
What are your thoughts on love as someone living with bipolar? What did you write in your letter to yourself? Please share your experience with love and bipolar disorder by commenting below or do a response video and send it into info@healthyplace.com. Happy Valentine's Day! See you next week! Hannah
