Dr. Tessina has been in private practice as a Licensed Marriage, Family Therapist in Long Beach, California since 1978. She is the author of 9 books, including two in 1999 -- "The 10 Smartest Decisions A Woman Can Make Before 40" and "The Unofficial Guide to Dating Again". Her practice includes individual and couple counseling. Dr. Tessina specializes in creative relationships, helping you create the relationship you need for your life today and to create business partnerships and friendships that utilize each person's unique qualities to enhance teamwork and cooperation. In her twenty years of counseling men and women who are stressed by life and relationship experience, she has recognized that there are certain aspects of life that are universally troubling. It is from these years of sessions with real people, coupled with the experiences in her own life and the issues confronted by her friends and acquaintances, backed up by her education and experience, that she is inspired to write her books. Dr. Tessina is a Diplomate of the American Psychotherapy Association. Dr. Tessina lectures and conducts workshops nationwide on all of her books, and has appeared on all major television and radio shows, including Donohue, Oprah, Geraldo, and Larry King Live .
